Today we learned why it is important to catch our sneezes in our elbows.
Sneezes can travel really really fast (as fast as a car on a motorway, or even faster).
There are germs in our sneezes.
If we catch our sneezes in our elbows or in a tissue which we can then put in the bin, then we stop germs spreading.
In our demonstration, the flour and glitter (pretend germs) went all over us and all over the classroom when the balloon was burst, in the same way that real germs would spread if this was a real sneeze.
