Launching foam rockets

Launching foam rockets

We have made foam rockets.

Today we practised launching them outside.  We were amazed at how far the rockets can fly.

Inside we showed Ms. O’Connors class how to make and launch the rockets.

We even used a clinometer to see which angle is best for launching a rocket (we decided that 40 degrees seems to be the best).  The rocket flies further when you launch the rocket at an angle, rather than straight across (0 degrees) or straight up (90 degrees).
