Making Sprays

Making Sprays

We have often seen our parents using sprays:- for cleaning, in perfumes, in deodorants, in polishes etc.

Today we were able to make our own sprays using right (straight) or acute angles with straws and a cup of water.

Using obtuse angles just doesn’t work at all.

When  you use a straw to blow the air from the top of a second straw that is sitting in water, the air in the straw and then the water in the straw rush up to take the place of the air that was blown away.  When the water reaches the top of the straw, this water gets blown into tiny droplets and a spray is made.  We can show you how to do this at home.
