Visit to the Christmas Market 2018

Visit to the Christmas Market 2018

We had a wonderful day at Galway Christmas Market.

Ms. McLoughlin’s class and Ms. Cunningham’s class walked to town along the railway line, looking out for mathematical shapes and answering puzzles along the way.  Mr. Gleeson led the way while Mr. Carleton and Ms. Flaherty accompanied us.  In town we met up with Ms. Needham’s class and Veronica.

We wandered throught the Christmas market, rode a sleigh and heard the story of how Padraig O’Connaire lost his head!

We had lunch against the historical old Galway wall in the shopping centre before having a ride on the carousel (that was such fun!), going to the toilet in Supermacs, watching how doughnuts are made (and tasting them), playing in the playground, taking a photo of Santa and Mrs. Claus and then walking back to school along the railway line.

The rain held off and we thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Many thanks to Mr. Gleeson for organising such a super day for us!
