We launched balloon rockets in two junior infant classes today as part of Space Week.
We investigated and discussed how rockets are launched. Then we decided to launch our very own rocket in the classroom.(Actually, it really is a projectile rather than a rocket because there is no fuel involved.)
It was difficult to get our rocket to fly straight until we used string and a straw and sticky tape.
Then we could get our balloon to fly straight across the classroom. We even got our balloon rocket to fly uphill.
It was great fun!
