Teacher usually cycles to school. During Engineers Week teacher brings her bike into the classroom so we can all figure out how her bike works.
This year teacher has a sore foot and can't cycle at the moment so she brought in a working model of a bike.
We had a look at all the parts on the bike and talked aobut how bicycles work.
It was so interesting. We were able to name the saddle, lights, handlebars, spokes, carrier, wheels, stand etc.
We also had a chat about ALWAYS wearing a helmet when we are on our bikes.
We are amazed at how engineers can design and make such great machines.
