Filtering Dirty Water

29-April-24
Filtering Dirty Water

We have already tried using the water cycle to filter dirty water.

Today we made our own water filters to see could we clean dirty water.

We had once again to elect a forman (we are getting good at our elections) and then we had to choose which materials we wished to use.

Each group got a water filter bottle, a jug of dirty water and a choice of coffee filter, cotton wool, cloths, stones, sand.

Each group made their choice and then filtered the dirty water. We decided that the winning group would be the group with the clearest water. Of course, even though the water LOOKS clean, it is not clean enough to drink.

We understand more about filtering dirty water now.
