Launching Our STEAM Boats

Here is work that we did before we launched our boats:

• Floating and sinking 2nd class (May 2024)
• Boat and passenger challenge 2nd class (May 2023)

Our boats are finished. They have all been made and are seaworthy.

Today we launched our boats.

We filled a water pit with 30 litres of water (from a watering can), thanks Ms. Ferguson!

Then we tested our boats for two things..

1. Were they seaworthy? Did they float ok?
2. Could they move? (we could blow them, or have them work by mechanical means)

Here's our Open Day where we invited other classes to see our boats, and to ask us questions about our STEAM experience.
