Learning about Animals and Birds

Learning about Animals and Birds

We were so lucky to be involved in an outreach initiative with Atlantic Technological University (ATU).

Katie and her amazing team of students, Kylie, Matea, Fiona and Andrew came to visit our classes today.

They brought some beautiful animals and a seagull. All of these animals had actually died (mostly killed by cars) and had been stuffed by a taxidermist. They looked perfect.

The volunteers showed these animals to small groups of students, explaining how we can look after our native animals, how we can use alternatives to rat poison, how we can protect the beautiful wildlife around us.

We think that studying nature and/or science or biology in university would be SO interesting.

Thank you SOOO much to Katie, to ATU and to your amazing volunteers.

We learned so much from you today.
