We had a look at different types of bridges, we discussed how they look, what shapes are in them and how they are so strong.
Today we had our own chance to make a strong bridge. We could use 2 bridge supports, a ruler (to make sure each group kept the bridge supports exactly the same width apart) and 2 sheets of paper.
We could tell how strong each bridge was by how many coins it could hold before the bridge collapsed. It was very exciting to see which bridge was the strongest!
Now we have some idea of how interesting (but difficult) the work of an engineer can be!
