We had lots of fun making rice krispie buns before the midterm, as part of a lesson about procedural writing. We discussed how we would make them, then everyone helped to mix, scoop and decorate their bun. We then wrote the recipe including ingredients, steps and pictures!
We also talked about the science behind it - how the chocolate melts when heated and goes hard when cooled.
The buns turned out great and were delicious!!
