Maths Week: Marshmallow Maths

15-October-24
Maths Week: Marshmallow Maths

We have leaned lots of 2D and 3D shapes.

Today we made lots of 2D and 3D shapes from marshmallows and cocktail sticks.

We were easily able to count the sides (sticks) and corners (marshmallows) in each shape.

Can you recognise a..

2D square, rectangle, triangle, pentagon, hexagon, octagon?

3D cube, cuboid, triangular prism, pentagonal prism, hexagonal prism, octagonal prism, triangular pyramid, square pyramid, sphere, cylinder and a cone?

Can you tell how many sides, corners and faces each one has?
