Ms. McLoughlin and Ochto travelled to Klaipeda in Lithuania for a 4 day Science and Technology Festival.
This festival takes place in a European city once every two years.
Our teacher was so privileged to be chosen
- to represent our school - Scoil Chaitríona Junior in Galway, as a primary school teacher who loves to teach STEAM subjects (science, technology, arts, engineering and maths)
- to represent our country - Ireland, as a member of the Irish National Steering Committee, and
- to represent the EU - as one of the 7 European Science on Stage ambassadors
Teacher (and Ochto) had a wonderful time at the festival, meeting other teachers from all over Europe and Canada, attending and giving workshops, attending and leading highlight and plenary sessions, picking up lots of super STEAM ideas from other teachers, singing in the Science on Stage choir, making new friends and seeing the sights of Klaipeda in Lithuania.
A huge Thank You and Congratulations to all the organisers and to all the super STEAM teachers with whom teacher and Ochto spent the past few days.
Hopefully our school will be well represented again at the next festival in 2028.
