We had a marvellous day at Galway City Museum today.
We walked in to town along the railway line and were delighted when a train went past.
We saw the statue of Pádraig Ó'Connaire in Eyre Square, and found the same (original) statue in the museum.
Ciara from the museum was so nice to us. She told us all about the LEGO scavenger hunt and she gave us tick sheets and pencils.
She also showed us a wonderful map of Galway from 1651 and we tried to find some Galway landmarks on it.
We walked around the museum with our teachers and we saw lots, learned lots and had a lot of fun.
We hope to visit the museum again, this time with our parents. We can be the tour guides and show our parents where all the interesting artifacts are.
The museum is open every Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm in the summer and is FREE to look around.
We can't wait to go back there again soon.
