We are learning all about our senses.
Today we played a really fun game....we played pass the parcel.
Each layer of the parcel was covered in a different textured covering....towel, paper, bubble wrap, wrapping paper, tinfoil, oilcloth.
We chatted about whether each covering was hard or soft / dull or shiny / rough or smooth.
Inside each layer we found a prize and a shape.
We discussed each shape too. What colour it is, what it is called.
We could keep the prizes (anyone who didn't win a prize got a sticker at the end) so everyone was happy with this game.
We also learned a lot about materials and about how touching things helps us learn about the world around us.
