We have made a rain gauge from an empty plastic bottle. (We cut off the top and put it up-side down in the bottom part).
We weighed it down with a stone.
We put it outside today to measure the rain.
We loved watching the hailstones fall into the rain gauge, but when these melted we found only a little rain...too little to measure.
We are happy that we are not catching any rain these days, that means that we are having nice dry weather at the moment.
