We have been talking about floating and sinking and about how boats float.
We made some incredible boats at home, and then at school we tested them.
They had to meet two criteria: They had to float and they had to be able to move if blown through a straw (and it was nice if they looked good too!)
This was a lot of fun.
Teacher showed us a few great boats – a paddle boat, a boat that ran on an emptying water cup and two steam boats. We liked the steam boats best!
