We are hoping to recruit new parents for;
FREE Basic IT/Smartphone Skills Training: Emails, Zoom, SeeSaw, Shopping Online.
GRETB have provided funding for an IT tutor to come to Ballybane on Tuesday mornings during December. Training will be held on Tuesday 1st Dec, Tues 8th Dec and Tues 15th Dec. The tutor will assist people with any basic IT needs they may have, including how to set up and use email, online shopping, Zoom, SeeSaw, Google meet, MS Teams, Aladdin, etc. Galway City Partnership are assisting with the roll out of this programme.
This training will focus mainly on parents who would like to be able to support their children’s on-line learning. GCP will have laptops set up in the room for parents to use but they are more than welcome to bring along their smartphone or other device that they may need guidance on also. Each person will receive support tailored to their specific needs. Some parents may wish to attend for just one week, while others may benefit from support over a longer period of time.
