We learned lots about different kinds of materials:
Can you recognise materials that are: transparent, translucent or opaque; hard or soft; brittle or pliable (bendy); waterproof or absorbent; cuddly, sparkly; large or small; patterned, plain or colourful; rough or smooth?
We played a fun game of “materials pass the parcel” where we identified all these things in the coverings of each parcel.
We also looked at different maths shapes to see how many sides and corners each has and whether the shape can roll or not.
