There was a partial solar eclipse today (around 30%).
Teacher had special glass. It looked opaque but in fact the sun’s image can shine through. The glass is suitable for welders to use when they are protecting their eyes at work.
No-one should ever look directly at the sun (even with sunglasses). It is very dangerous.
However, with the special glass we could look at the sun. It looked green. (Very suitable for Halloween!)
We did indeed see the eclipse through the glass. It was SO exciting.
