We think that seeds need soil, light and water to grow.
We decided to test this out by planting cress seeds in different pots.
One pot of seeds will grow in soil, with light, air, heat and water.
Each other pot of seeds will be missing one of the things above:
No light (in the cupboard), no soil (pot with only water), no water.
We will observe over time and see what happens.
We can’t wait to see.

Our seeds after one week:
The seeds in the cupboard with water are growing well but look yellow.
Out seeds in the cupboard with no soil and no water are not growing.
Our seeds on the windowsill with no water are not growing, with water and no soil are growing, with water and soil are growing.
We will watch them for another few weeks.
