Junior Infants in Room 1 had a great Science Week. We are learning all about houses and materials. We tested materials to see if they were waterproof. We also read the story of ‘The Three Little Pigs’ and made their houses out of different materials- straw, sticks and bricks.
We explored energy and how we can save energy in our homes by turning off the lights. We carried out the germ experiment to highlight the importance of using soap to wash our hands.
We also explored sound and have begun learning the tin whistle which is great fun.
